While in the Northern part of Norway to research the aurora borealis (commonly known as the Northern Lights), Stephen Naor, President of Leapfrog Lighting, discovered that the phenomenon, previously thought of as natural, are actually lit by LEDs, or light emitting diodes.  “It’s an incredible discovery “, said a scientist in the field, “Stephen Naor has conclusively determined that the aurora borealis are actually a complex arrangement of LED lights”.

There have been many theories on the cause of the Northern Lights over the years.  Aristotle speculated the heat from the sun raised steam from the ground and hit the fire element, ultimately igniting, and causing the fantastic light display. Benjamin Franklin, on the other hand, theorized the borealis was caused by a concentration of electrical charges.

Now all questions have finally been put to rest. Described as an “elaborate centuries old hoax, much like crop circles”, Mr. Naor said he still can’t understand how the LED technology has existed on Earth so long. “We all believed LED technology was a 20^th century discovery”.

Mr. Naor made it clear that his research is not complete as there are still many unanswered questions. Was the hoax performed by one family or guild, like the stonemasons, over hundreds of generations? Or is this proof that Earth has been visited by an extraterrestrial species? “Or”, speculated Mr. Naor, “maybe this is just Leapfrog Lighting’s way of saying: ‘Happy April Fool’s Day!’?”
